Membership is open to all international educators in the state of Minnesota.
MIE membership also offers you access to our MIE Online portal that contains meeting minutes, Powerpoint presentation files, useful documents shared by presenters, and transcribed notes. Once dues are paid, we will contact you with a password to access the MIE online portal. Be part of a professional network that frequently exchanges best practices!
Membership includes: access to all five yearly MIE Member meetings, up-to-date immigration guidance from government agencies and professionals in the field, employment opportunity information, archived meeting resources online, and financial support such as conference travel grants.

Membership update for 2023-2024:
After carefully considering our circumstances, MIE is reinstating our membership dues. We initially paused dues to provide some relief during COVID, and now we are looking forward to resuming our normal operations.
These dues collected from institutions and individual participants will esure that MIE can continue functioning and meeting its needs as a non-profit professional organization as well as help contribute to the funding of the following:
• NAFSA conference scholarship funds up to $600
• MIE Networking Events up to $600
• Tech subscription services up to $200
• Speaker fees, etc.
Dues will reinstate on 09/01/2023. Please review our payment information below on this page.

HOW TO JOIN:
You can join MIE by paying membership dues per meeting or annually. The membership dues are as follows:
$10/person per meeting * ($10.50 if paid by credit card**) OR
$25/person annually ($26 if paid by credit card**) OR
$125 annually for institutions with 5 or more members ($129 if paid by credit card)
* In an effort to promote membership, MIE will waive the charge for the very first meeting for new individuals interested in learning more about MIE. If you know of somebody that would benefit from learning from and contributing to MIE and has never before attended, please extend an invitation
** Payments may be made by credit card via PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account to pay with your credit card. A small additional fee (mentioned above) is added to cover the cost of the PayPal transaction.
Payment methods:
Pay in person at the first meeting. The treasurer will be available during each meeting to collect payment (cash, check, or credit card) and issue receipts. Please make checks payable to "Minnesota International Educators".
Request an invoice in advance. If you would like an invoice in advance please contact treasurer@mie-mn.com with the following information
Name of Institution
Type of membership (individual or institutional)
Names of individuals for whom you would like to request a receipt
Pay with a credit card (Paypal). See options below. Please include your name, email, and the name of your institution in the Paypal comments section.
Recurring Payments are automatic to your account. Please email treasurer@mie-mn.com for more information about recurring payments.
